Join Lisa Curt on January 21st, 2027 in Naples to learn shaping and technique of your rope bowl.
Core Techniques / What is the Student Being Taught: Ready to move beyond round rope bowls? Explore creating a heart-shaped rope bowl. You may begin with a small trinket size piece or trivet, or move directly into a bowl. Options are open to incorporate colorful rope, wrapped rope segments, and decorative stitching depending on your personal style. Well also touch on a few simple finishing ideas, and one heart shaped knot. The heart shape makes this a natural Valentines project, while color choices easily adapt it for any time of year.
Take Home Project: One heart-shaped rope bowl approximately 810 inches wide and 23 inches high. Experienced rope sewers may complete an additional heart project. Final project size and shape are flexible and may vary from the sample shown.
Pre-Requisite: Intro to Rope Sewing Beginner Class recommended, or prior experience sewing rope projects. Students should be comfortable sewing basic rope bowls.
